The National Drought and Flood Agency is committed to supporting rural and regional communities through tough times.
Community events help to strengthen social bonds and improve wellbeing in places where distance, drought, bushfires and now COVID-19 have caused significant hardship and distress.
We support community events by:
• Running ‘one-stop-shop’ Drought Community Outreach events in partnership with Rotary
• Providing sponsorship
• Working in partnership with local communities to support or run other events, particularly where COVID-19 restrictions rule out gathering in large numbers. These include Small Town Tours and Café Conversations.

Don’t forget – if you require assistance you don’t need to wait for a community event in your area to get advice and support. Our nation-wide network of Regional Recovery Officers are available to meet with you at a time and location convenient to you.
