Drought and Flood Coordinator-General Shane Stone is encouraging everyone to prepare for disaster season.
“No one wants to think it will happen… but you need to be prepared,” Shane said.
“Already there are signs that the coming disaster season could be very challenging... As the disaster season kicks off, there are resources you can use to be better prepared.
“Be organised – put together your ‘what if’ plan so you can protect yourself, the people around you and the things you care about.
“You need to know what to do if disaster comes your way – know where to go and where to get reliable information,” Shane said.
Set some time aside to put together your ‘what-if’ plans today and stay safe.
