The Australian Red Cross has launched the first episode in its free Tune In & Tune Up webinar series.
The five-part series of drought and wellbeing webinars explores ways to maintain community wellbeing through drought.
Each fortnight, speakers share their insights on topics including psychology, wellbeing, climate, rural social issues, gender and disasters, children's mental health and agribusiness.
The webinars are free to join but limited to 500 participants. You can find details about each webinar and register to attend on the Red Cross website
Webinar 1 - Maintaining Wellbeing Through Drought & Prolonged Stress – is now available for viewing on YouTube. The episode features guest speaker Dr David Younger, a Clinical Psychologist with extensive experience supporting communities affected by natural disasters and emergencies. David places a focus on the social environment and the use of networks in driving support.
The webinar series is part of a broader program by the Red Cross that gives people the tools they need to better support their communities, themselves and their loved ones in these tough times.
