My name is Candy Hudson and I am the Regional Recovery Officer for North Western Australia. My region covers the area north of Perth and into the Kimberley.
I have lived in regional WA my whole life and enjoyed a diverse career in the agricultural sector, including time spent as a professional wool classer in the south of WA, and jillaroo on pastoral stations in the north.
For the past 20 years I have been involved in various State government agriculture roles, and this experience has given me an extensive knowledge of the local agriculture industry and the challenges faced by people who live and work in regional WA.
Prior to joining the National Drought and Flood Agency I worked as a Livestock Compliance Inspector, travelling widely across the State to meet with graziers and visit regional communities.
As a Regional Recovery Officer I am committed to supporting our farmers and rural communities as they deal with the ongoing impacts of drought, and the lingering effects of COVID 19.
I look forward to meeting you and discussing how the National Drought and Flood Agency can assist families and businesses in North WA.
