My name is Jennifer Jeffrey and I am the Regional Recovery Officer for Mid NSW. I am based in the town of Tamworth and have lived and worked on farms for over 30 years. I have worked extensively across Australian regional and rural locations supporting farming families and rural communities to access a range of government and non-government services, including financial, social and wellbeing support.
Prior to joining the National Drought and Flood Agency, I worked as a Farm Liaison Officer (NSW) with the Rural Financial Counselling Service and held roles in the Department of Human Services, including Drought Coordinator (NSW) and Mobile Service Centre Manager.
I am a Fellow of the Australian Rural Leadership Foundation and have a Graduate Certificate of Australian Rural Leadership from James Cook University. I am also studying Agricultural Health and Medicine through Deakin University in conjunction with the National Centre for Farmer Health.
As a Regional Recovery Officer, I am focused on providing support to rural and regional communities, particularly those experiencing hardship as a result of drought.
