One of the drought’s continuing challenges is restocking after there’s been decent rain.
Breck and Margot Johnston of ‘Glen Barra’ station at Watsons Creek north of Tamworth had destocked from their usual 2500 cattle to around 400 because of the drought.
Also facing bushfire repairs, they turned to Debby Maddox of the Rural Financial Counselling Service NSW - Northern Region.
With Debby’s assistance, they’ve secured a Regional Investment Corporation loan and are getting back on track.
