Our NT Regional Recovery Officer Jane Mack attended the Pussy Cat Bore Campdraft and Gymkhana last weekend, where we were also a proud sponsor. With fewer events scheduled this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, large numbers of Territorians turned up.
“It was a fantastic weekend,” Jane said, “There were hundreds of competitors from all across the Territory. It was a time when people can have a break from their work, catch up with friends and have some fun.”
The 2020 program included a traditional campdraft program, horsemanship challenges, kids’ gymkhana and rodeo over four days of competition.
The Drought and Flood Agency sponsors community events in drought and flood-impacted areas because it’s important that people who are doing it tough get a chance to have a break and unwind with their family and friends.
If you’re organising a community event in regional Australia and in need of sponsorship, we’d be interested in hearing from you – contact your local Regional Recovery Officer to find out more.
